But how much detail does one need – may be it is too much. Would it hinder an ad. campaign? Possibly so, as any flaws will show up; scratches, smudges, impurities etc. and also at the other end of technology, what sorts of cameras will be able to take perfect pictures?
Alternatives to a single display screen
A tiled video wall will exhibit a large area for advertising a product or service, as well as being suitable for entertainment purposes. Imagine a tiled video wall using 8K technology for a baseball game; it would be as if life-sized players were in the sports bar with you!
Technology for the future
Where will it end? Right now we are thinking about using 8k video walls for enhanced digital signage, which is almost inconceivable, so what next? Although we won’t see 8k working in our homes; it’s just too clear, we should see soon it in leisure industries and medical facilities, to name but a few. Using current technology, like the upcoming 4K resolution screens is enough for now.
