Six Installation Tips For A Trouble Free Digital Signage Installation.
When you are deploying a dynamic signage solution, you have to be mindful that the business you are deploying the signs for still has to make money and trade whilst you install the units, so to minimise disruption, here are some tips you may want to consider on the day of the installation, to ensure your installation is a trouble free as possible.
1. What day to install? Well check with the store or business owner, as they will know which day is the slowest and perfect for the installation as there will be minimal customer milling around the store.
2. Rearrange shelving – This sounds obvious, but if you move the shelving around 2 metres away from were the installation will be done, this will allow the installation team much needed space to work and should speed the install up.
3. Cordon the area off – this is so no one gets injured during the install and protects the installers tools!
4. Keep loading docks clear – this will enable the installers to bring their vehicle as close to the business premises as possible and they will have quick access to their vehicle if they need any additional equipment. Try not to schedule any large deliveries otherwise the loading areas will get congested.
5. Set out coffee for customers – Why? Well this will take the edge of any inconvenience the customer experience and give you the opportunity to explain that the improvements to “their” store are for “their” benefit. You can also put placards throughout the store explaining what is happening.
