Digital Advertising Comes to the Sports Stadium

Even as you enter the foyer, the stadium digital signage is seen and instantly a digital LCD screen catches the eye, offering all sorts of tempting promotions, getting you to spend more money whilst at the game.  These communicable monitors offer a host of information, adverts and news whilst engaging a captive (out of home) audience.

As the leisure industry grows, advertising campaigns have taken a new turn in capturing customers, who are now not sat in front of a TV screen, in the comfort of their own homes.  Now advertisers must follow the crowd and even keep up with the way many people choose to spend their time and socialise nowadays.  Of course people have always visited sports venues, shopping malls and other leisure outlets, but even in hard times there is a certain amount of disposable income to spend on other interests, which usually means outside of the home, this is why stadium digital signage is so popular.

Whilst waiting in line at the food stand, during half time of the game, visually motivating images flash across the screen.  Some monitors have inbuilt speakers which can offer another element of a high definition sound quality.  Positioning of such dynamic advertising boards plays an important part of the commercial strategy.  Where there are crowds, ceiling mounted flat screens can be mounted using special brackets, or for queues of people – floor standing or pillar mounted digital posters are suitable.  All of which are vandal proof with coated screens to prevent shattering and sun light affecting the quality of the picture.  Anti theft bolts on the rear of the units thwart potential theft, particularly if located externally.  A suitable LCD enclosure is a must for those units placed outside, as this will protect them against not only theft, but the elements of the weather.  Direct sun light as well as the exterior temperature can cause over heating, so a cooling unit may be considered.  Alternatively in some states of America and other countries where the temperature fluctuates from very cold to extremely hot, both a heating and cooling device would be fitted internally of the enclosure.  Protecting a large screen TV is a wise investment as potentially a sporting venue could purchase several replacement screens due damage.

Long gone are the traditional static billboards and the leisure industry is embracing this new technology, as their customers are demanding it. If you are not using stadium digital signage now you should be, becuase your competitors will be.
