Samsung LE55C650 Now Used For Digital Signage & Home
The key to any successful digital signage campaign is getting the right image out there and the main interface with the buyers is the screen, here is a cost effective solution.
Samsung have launched the LE55C650, this is the 55 inch LCD full 1080p television with a free view hard disc (forget this for the moment). It is in a sleek black frame that looks terribly sexy.
Using it as a Home TV.
This is one awesome piece of kit for any home, it can be left on its stand or wall mounted, providing a high definition image where blacks are definitely black and sharp. The audio is driven by the SRS theatre sound that sounds as though you are in the cinema providing a surround sound experience.
You can even stream movies from your laptop using the wireless LAN adapter support in the screen, enabling you to use Internet on the TV, as for gaming this is excellent with the images and shadows enhancing the users experience and making the user feel as though they are in thick of the action.
Using it for Digital Signage
This screen is very versatile, as it has all the connectivity an integrator needs, from a wireless connector to a LAN connector and 4 (yes four!) HDMI inputs/outputs three are in the rear and 1 in the side, perfect for connecting media players and the like.
As well as these connectors there are 2 x USB ports also on the side and on the back there is the standard Component In (Y/Pb/Pr), as well as Composite In (AV), PC in (D-sub).
The screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 and is run from the Hyper Real Picture Engine system associated with Samsung.
How to schedule the display on and off, this is taken care of by the inbuilt scheduler, so you can set the time you wish the display to power down and when it will re-boot without human intervention.
