LG’s Supersign Digital Signage Solution

LG’s digital signage solution is one of the Industries leading solution, as the solutions are so versatile, numerous solutions can be achieved.

 

When anyone looks at a deployment of digital signage there are several points to consider; now LG has made a package that ticks most boxes, from creating a thin bezel video wall, to a basic single screen that runs content that is streamed over the Internet and what makes it interesting is that the pricing is not too dissimilar to a domestic LCD screen!

 

The options available are to have an internal media player, this is the NC2000 and used solid state technology and just slides into the back of an LG commercial screen, once connected to screens the content can be distributed throughout he network in full HD. The onboard management software is very user friendly and allows endless flexibility of the hardware through the countless options on screen. This internal digital media player is perfect for locations that are tight on space, with no need to bolt the player on to the mounting frame, allowing for flush fitting of the screen to walls.

 

For sites with more space, they could use the external media player that has a 1.6Ghz dual core technology, 8GB SATA SSD memory, with VGA and HDMI connectivity.

 

LG have priced these units very aggressively and a combined solution such as a 42” screen and the NC1000 (external media player) priced at £1431, with the same screen size and the internal media player at £1599.

 

The management software allows for the screens to be tiled, or a single screen split into sections for multiple ads, allowing any business no matter how small or large to benefit from digital signage.

 

The real challenge comes when you have to deploy the hardware outdoors, as you need a protective housing that will protect the hardware from the weather and possible theft, these LCD enclosures are made from steel with high security locks for maximum security, you wouldn’t want anyone taking the hardware you have invested in, would you?

 

The LG solution’s take digital signage much further than the entry level LCD advertising screen, as the content has to be manually updated.
