HDTV, the next generation in digital signage for picture perfection.

With the birth of High-Definition television (HDTV), this brought the television to life, with fantastic high resolution images that standard definition (SD-TV) cannot offer.

The transition from standard definition to high definition television, came the increase in screen size and format. Out went the old 5:3 aspect ratio and in came the 16:9 screen, giving everyone the opportunity to have a cinema experience at home!

These HDTV’s are not used just for cinema applications, or entertaining friends, these high definition displays are used for digital signage advertising, also known as DOOH (Digital Out Of Home advertising).

There are three scan modes 720p (720 progressively scanned lines), 1080i (1,080 actively interlaced lines of resolution) and 1080p (1,080 progressively scanned lines).  1080p gives a far clearer and crisper image, were blacks are true blacks.  Basically the 1080p broadcasts the image fast and better than its 1080i counterpart and has more lines to display a clearer image.

Technology has advanced so much now with HDTV, with some movies and console games played on 1080p, you feel as though you are there and can touch the actors or get stuck into the action of the game.

Now you can use the HDTV technology with narrow cast technology to offer your customers the ultimate in advertising media!  Narrow-casting is a tool used in commercial advertising, to get your sales message out there to the thousands of people who have not heard of your product or service.

As people value family time, we are seeing an increase in outdoor activity, there is nothing better than watching a movie or sporting event with your family in your own backyard.  Many people cook outdoors using a barbeque and that gives a real family bonding experience, so why not put a HDTV outdoors too?

The technology has advanced to such so, households can now install their own weatherproof TV enclosures to their television’s outside. With this kind of television you can enjoy it in any kind of weather. The weatherproof TV enclosure has an all weather steel case that is coated in a textured powder coating to protect it against anything Mother Nature can through at it and it allows for perfect viewing of this outdoor television. The internal cooling or heating unit protects the internal circuitry from corrosion, especially in humid climates. They are also water tight and offer some degree of vandal protection, so you can go on vacation without having to bring the unit indoors.

The weatherproof television enclosure needs a minimum if any, maintenance. But make sure to cover the television or else you will have to clean the TV each time you decide to watch it. It is easy to find a HDTV case that is made of heavy gauge steel. A mounting bracket needs to be strong enough to hold up the television. There has to be a cable run, allowing all the cables to run into the HDTV case and connecting to the television. When you come across a weatherproof television that meets your standards and requirements, it is necessary to find the right area to mount it so that you get the most enjoyment from it, you can put it in an LCD enclosure stand or even mount the HDTV enclosure directly on to the wall!
