Getting the Right LCD Enclosure For Your Project

In manufacturing protective outdoor LCD enclosures, we are constantly asked to make the units as narrow as possible; the problem with cramming all the signage hardware that generates so much heat in a steel enclosure is that it can possibly kill the display.

These waterproof LCD enclosures accommodate the screen and media player when enclosed generates lots of heat and if this heat is not dissipated efficiently, the internal components start to fail. This is why some enclosure manufacturers are offering cooling options to cool the front of the display, because it is just too close to the viewing window and the air gap between the display and window traps the hot air and creates hotspots on the screen.

The last thing you want to do as a digital signage installer, is to keep visiting sites to replace screens!

Our outdoor digital signage enclosures offer a cooling system that is designed to cool all the hardware components in the enclosure, with emphasis on the display as this is the source of 95% of the heat build up in the outdoor TV box. Having deployed hundreds of enclosures in direct sunlight our solution is thermostatically controlled and is perfect for direct sunlight applications, this is our standard solution however we can offer air conditioning and even more high end cooling – as installed in a recent project in Mustique.

To discuss you requirements, contact us on (USA toll free) 888-460-3573 or European enquiries +44 844 3578687, we also offer outdoor sunlight readable displays, so we can give you a comparitive price for either solution. Call us today – you will not be dissapointed!
