They recently won a project for an American project, protecting digital signage in a dairy, yes – a dairy! And no it wasn’t to entertain Bessie, the prize cow! This was to show visiting customers the range of products the dairy produced and who for. As they manufactured for several stores including; Walmart, Walgreens, Price Chopper and Lion.
The problem was that the digital sign was in a high humid area with a working temperature range of -20 in winter to 150 in summer and they needed a solution to protect their digital signage solution.
Their solution included an ingenious cooling tube, that also heats…so the internal temperature is set in the enclosure and when it rises or falls, the cooling tube either heats or cools the unit automatically. The LCD enclosure was also made from stainless steel and offered the benefits of being a waterproof TV enclosure. This solution came in 50% less than the leading US manufacturer and there are a further 6 dairy’s to supply these too, within the company.
