Antimicrobial Solutions Could Save The NHS Nightmare Fatal Infection
NHS Nightmare with Fatal Fungus Found in 55 Facilities.
The UK’s NHS has fallen into a nightmare situation when fatal fungus has been discovered at 55 hospitals across the United Kingdom.
All of the NHS trusts have been instructed to complete a deep clean off all affected locations with in excess of 200 patients had been found infected with the deadly pathogen.
Infection consultants are concerned at the speed the fungus spread, it’s likely to be a superbug because of its proven resistant to the main drug treatments classes given to superbugs.
The deadly fungus is nicknamed the Japanese Fungus due to the fungus being first discovered in Japan back in 2009. Its full name is Candida Auris and was first found in the ear of a 70 year old lady. Since 2009 it’s spread to over 5 continents with the first case being detected in the United Kingdom back in 2013.
It seems to mainly affect the old and inform, with young, healthy patients fending off the fungal attack.
One of the areas overlooked is the patient’s televisions, as the remote controls are touched and thus the fungal infection can spread. This is why ProEnc’s antimicrobial TV enclosure is helping to fight the war on fungal infections in hospitals.

The enclosures are available in the following sizes:

The current situation affects mainly hospitals around the London and Oxfordshire, hopefully it will be contained and the threat neutralised soon.
