The use of airport digital signage has increased significantly in the last few years, from the time the digital technology and nanotechnology have been evolving. There are a lot of different equipment that are being used for advertisements and also to provide information to the people who come to the airport. The arrival and the departure information of the different aircraft are also provided through this method. There is different equipment that is used by different advertising agencies and the airport digital signage boom has created a new business in itself. There are new companies being created that mix the various kinds of technologies to provide a new age advertising media. The technologies that are used in the digital signs include liquid crystal display (LCD) and also light emitting diode (LED) technology.

The variations can be in the size of the posters and also in the technology that is used in it. There are some posters that are A2 sized and there are others that have an A3 display. Also, these screens cannot be aesthetically placed in multiple locations, unlike the smaller posters that can be placed in numerous sites and can still provide an aesthetic ambiance to the people who visit the airport.

2. Video walls: Other than the use of the digital poster in airports, the use of indoor video walls is also common. The whole wall can be covered with a LED advertisement system or other system that has a crystal clear picture or video images on it. This dynamic advertising has made it much more effective and is widely used by a lot of advertisers. The use of the older technologies are outdated and are not used anymore because the static images that they showed do not have the same effect as this kind of dynamic airport digital signage.

3. The LCD advertisement system: The other system that is used in the airports is the LCD screens. There are various sizes of these screens used in advertising. Some of them may be smaller and are only a 2 X 2 configuration; however there are additional screens that can give much larger arrangement. This will provide for greater clarity of the images and make the advertisements more effective. The use and need for this kind of airport digital signage has created a boom in the industry.

4. Airport digital signage with a Touch screen information system: Other than the advertisement that are shown on giant screens, the travel information that is required by air commuters is also displayed on them which have been installed for this purpose.
